We're here to help
On Koopo our sellers have alot of tools to make their products standout. First, you need to understand the product edit screen and all the ways you can setup your products. We will go through each section.
There are 4 main product types, Simple, Variable, Group and Subscription.
Simple is just like it sounds, simple. Most products are simple products. These products are shipped and have no options.
Variable products allow users to sell multiple variations of a single product. Examples would include, a shirt with different colors, or different sizes. Each variation can be choose by a customer and seller can set different pricing for each variation.
Group products allow a seller to take several simple products and group them together as a collection or set. For example, a bedroom set, or living room set.
Subscriptions allow sellers to set up subscription products where customers can subscribe and make recurring payments (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) for a product, service or access. This is a really cool product type.
Sub-types (virtual, downloadable, bookable) work with the other types to specify what type of product the customer is getting. For instance
In this section you can set sku number and stock status. Stock status options are:
You can enable advance stock management which allows you to set the quantity of stock you have and set a low stock threshold number which will set a notification when stock is getting low.
You can also allow backorders. By default this is set to “do not allow”. The other options are “allow” or “allow but notify customer”.
The last option is to limit quantity to one per order.
You can set the location of each product. By default this is set to the geo location of the seller’s store which is set in store settings in the seller dashboard.
In this section you manage how the product is shipping and taxed. The first checkbox designates whether a product requires shipping.
The next option is Local Pickup Options. This setting specifies whether the product is available for pickup, online only or both.
Next, are the product shipping measurements (weight, length, width and height). This information is used in shipping settings.
Next, is Shipping Class. These classes allow you classify the products based on size and based on your shipping settings will set the appropriate shipping costs.
Lastly, Tax Status. Here you can set your products tax status. Set products to none taxable if you are not registered/licensed to collect sales tax. You can also designate your product tax class (standard, reduced and zero). Koopo calculates taxes automatically on behalf of sellers based on seller and customer locations. However, it is the sellers sole responsibility to verify that taxes are being properly calculated and collected for products sold in their respective jurisdictions.
Using up-sells and cross-sells, you can cross promote your products. They can be added by searching for a particular product and selecting the product from the dropdown list:
In this section you can assign details to product. You can choose from preset attributes or create custom ones. These details can help group your products together and help customers filter results based on specific features.
Enable this option to set a bulk discount on the product based on amount of quantity purchased. Once enabled there are 2 options:
This section allows seller to override Warranty and Return Policy settings for the specific product. The options are:
This section is for sellers that wish to sell large quantities of their products at whole sale pricing. You set the discounted price amount and the minimum quantity required to get the wholesale price. This makes it easy to offer products at both wholesale and retail.
Lastly, these options in the section are:
